Omics Sequencing of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Strain with Improved Capacity for Ethanol Production

چکیده

Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the most important industrial microorganism used to fuel ethanol production worldwide. Herein, we obtained a mutant S. strain with improved capacity for fermentation, from 13.72% (v/v wild-type strain) 16.13% strain), and analyzed its genomic structure gene expression changes. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment revealed that changed genes were mainly enriched in pathways carbohydrate metabolism, amino acid metabolism cofactors vitamins, lipid metabolism. The trends two strains recorded during fermentation create timeline. Venn diagram analysis exclusive strain. KEGG these showed upregulation involved sugar mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway, fatty degradation, downregulation oxidative phosphorylation, ribosome, biogenesis. Protein interaction glucose-6-phosphate isomerase 1, signal peptidase complex subunit 3, 6-phosphofructokinase 2, trifunctional aldehyde reductase major hub network, linking together. These findings provide new insights into adaptive framework construction engineered excellent capacity.

Improvement of ethanol production by ethanol-tolerant Saccharomyces cerevisiae UVNR56

Ethanol tolerance is one of the important characteristics of ethanol-producing yeast. This study focused on the improvement of ethanol tolerance of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NR1 for enhancing ethanol production by random UV-C mutagenesis. One ethanol-tolerant mutant, UVNR56, displayed a significantly improved ethanol tolerance in the presence of 15% (v/v) ethanol and showed a considerably higher...

Engineering a natural Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain for ethanol production from inulin by consolidated bioprocessing.

BACKGROUND The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is an important eukaryotic workhorse in traditional and modern biotechnology. At present, only a few S. cerevisiae strains have been extensively used as engineering hosts. Recently, an astonishing genotypic and phenotypic diversity of S. cerevisiae was disclosed in natural populations. We suppose that some natural strains can be recruited as superio...

Kinetics studies on ethanol production from banana peel waste using mutant strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Five different mutant strains were developed from the wild strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (MTCC No.287) using UV irradiation technique by varying the exposure timings. All the mutant cultures were used for ethanol production using banana peel as a substrate in a batch fermenter. The effect of temperature, pH and initial substrate concentration on ethanol production were studied and optimize...

Production of Ethanol from Starch by Recombinant Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Strain Expressing the Alpha-amylase Gene

Shwanniomyces occidentalis possess highly efficient alpha amylase activity that enable this yeast to use raw starch as an carbon source. S.occidentalis alpha amylase gene was cloned into the Saccharomyces cerevisiae under the control of different powerful constitutive promoters, ADH1, GPD and TEF. So that the recombinant strains which carries the same gene under the control of different promote...
